Pretty boring song to play, but it's awesome! Did it by request. I screw up a couple of times, and I play my own variations of fills.

In honor of John Lennon's birthday, I uploaded one of his greatest songs. "Imagine."

That's what I want - Beatles in Mono.
only 1 comment after 14 years... shame... great song
Arguably the best version. Thank you, John Lennon and the Beatles!
Helium version.
Вечная музыка.
Priceless.
The vocals were re-recorded for the film during a session on 24 May 1965 at CTS Studios, a facility specializing in post-synchronisation. In addition to attempting a better vocal performance, the session might have been done to eliminate the tambourine (which had been on the same track as the vocals) since no tambourine appeared in the film sequence. With the new vocals, a mono mix was created at CTS Studios which was used for the film soundtrack. Mixes for record releases were prepared on 18 June. For the mono version, Martin decided to use a mix of the opening chorus of take 12 edited to the remainder of the CTS film mix. Because all instruments were combined on a single track for the CTS session, it could not be used for a stereo mix, so the stereo mix was made from take 12. This film version of the song was only heard on the original VHS releases of the movie, later replaced by the stereo mixes. A true release was never issued. New mixes were created for releases of the Help! CD (1987), the Love album (2006), and the Help! DVD (2007).
John Lennon!
Love mono sound!

❤ que futuro tienen estos pibes!!
最高に好きな歌🎉
Mono is, in fact, better
Lennon's vocal here is near miraculous. Carries this motown song into stratosphere. Personally, this is the song where Lennon comes fully into his own as one of the truly great rock vocalists of all time.
I have always preferred this version to the stereo, that sudden break in Ringo's drums when John sings "I'm Crying" then the slow build up of the beat coming back in is awesome. You don't get that in the stereo version
the 1st 1967 stereo version has that same break, removed from the 2009 remaster though
@@ImaginationMeme I didn’t know that. Why would they change it? It’s good as it is. The movie has the break dammit
My favourite Paul song from Rubber Soul.
この頃の歌はいい歌が多かった。Beatles For Sale からいいのが減った。
The splice in this version is horrible! Stick with the original UK 45 or US 45 if you prefer the extra 4 beats.
The 2023 stereo mix is horrible, this mono is much better.
Where is the other 10 songs ?
yep, the right one died.
最初に聴いたのがモノラル版だったので、こっちの方が聴き慣れた感じです
The mono mix of this album sounds way better than the stereo mix, holy crap!
Best experience in mono.
Вот настаящий ДжоржХарисон
The 2009 remasters suck.
And they do suck well
What do you prefer, the original pressings?
@@seanwade8188 Mono is fine with me. I always thought stereo was overrated.
@@peterolbrisch8970The 2009 remastered mono?
@@michaelharrington75 I didn't know that there was a mono for 2009. It's the stereo versions that get slammed all the time and I have to agree. Something is off. The new version of Walrus is horrible. I don't have the greatest ear but that's a clear butcher job. And that weird version of I feel fine with the washed out vocals. I think that was Jeff Lynn. But the worst has to be animals by pink floyd. What the hell were they thinking?
probably my favorite beatle song. Probably my favorite mix
This is infinitely better than the horrible 2023 remix. In fact, this mono mix is the definitive version in my view.
I feel the same way. The transition in the middle in the stereo version was always distracting to me, even though I understand why they had to do it.
@@alonkatz4633 A thousand years ago when I was just a boy, my grandmother gave me an old mono "gramophone" which she never used. It was encased in a large chest and it took about two minutes for the valves to warm up after I switched it on. But the tone was incomparable! It was through that wonderful machine that I first heard "I Am The Walrus" and I couldn't stop playing it over and over again. I had never heard anything remotely like that sound and, to this day, nothing has ever moved me to the same extent. "Walrus" was created to be heard in mono for the audience of that day, most of whom (at least in Britain) had no idea of what the point of this new-fangled stereo thing was even supposed to be. We heard most of our music on the radio, in mono, and that was the sound that we expected to hear when we bought the record. And if you had the benefit of a valve (tube) reproduction system, the warmth of the sound was infinitely superior to anything which a transistor could produce. (It still is.)
monno is where it's at with beatle songs
Monnnnoohhhh
Mon-óh
thank you, this is the real version, this is how it's supposed to sound.
Many years ago I came to visit my cousin. Her 6-year-old daughter began studying flute at a music school. The girl really did not like boring classes, she was often sad and had conflicts with her mother. I sat down at the piano and invited the girl to learn the melody “The Fool On The Hill”. She really liked this melody, she willingly learned the flute part. I talked to her teacher and asked her to change the curriculum a little. I sent the girl scores and cassettes where I played the piano, and my friend the saxophonist played the flute. The flute teacher was also happy because she had few students and it was not profitable for her to have students leave the music school.
Fun Fact: Mick Jagger on backing vocals
2023バージョン聞きました、素晴らしいと思います。 ただ一点とても大事なとこですがギターが全面に出ていません。 エキセントリックなあの音色が好きな私はやはりオリジナルmonoに僅差ですが軍配をあげてしまいます🎸
😊
